Life is full, and even sincere faith can feel stretched by responsibility, routine, and the quiet work of caring for others. Many of our holiest moments happen unnoticed — in conversation, in listening, in showing up for someone in need. My writing begins in that everyday reality, paying attention to how God works in ordinary circumstances and the steady rhythm of service.
I write to offer clarity and calm — gentle reflections that create space to pause, reflect, and see God at work in real life. My hope is that these words help renew perspective, strengthen perseverance, and remind us that grace is often found in the simple, hidden places we live each day.
My aim is straightforward: to offer clear, gentle reflections that invite pause, perspective, and renewed attention to God’s presence in real life.
My conversion to the Catholic faith in 1982 brought a peace and purpose I had long been seeking. Years later, in 2007, I joined the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, where a simple desire to help others became a lifelong calling. Serving as Spiritual Advisor, President, Formator, Mentor, Caseworker, and Editor has shaped how I understand compassion, humility, and seeing Christ in those we encounter. I live in Virginia, where I’m a wife, mom, and grateful “Grammy,” balancing family life with our remodeling business. I love people, nature, music, and the quiet joy of reading and writing. My writing grows out of this Vincentian path. I’ve learned that God often works in ordinary moments and simple acts of love. Through gentle, practical reflections, I hope to encourage others to live their faith with peace, purpose, and a spirit of service.

I’m honored to have my work featured by respected organizations including Diocesan and the Praise Writers.

Life can feel loud, rushed, and demanding. My blog, Gentle Servant, offers a place to slow down, breathe, and be reminded that God is present in the ordinary moments of life.
As a small gift, I’ve created a Litany of Vincentian Virtues—a prayer for humility, compassion, and a gentle heart. When you subscribe, it will be sent to your inbox.
I’d love to hear from you! Fill out the form below to send me an email and I’ll get back to you soon.
